Even though the kids may be back in school, it may take a few weeks to find “your groove” in fitness. I have created an easy routine that you can do while traveling for business or a quick workout at home. You can work through these seven exercises one to three times. If you can only fit it in one time, see if you can find another time later in the day you can try another set. Remember, it all adds up to more calories burned.
It is perfect exercise routine because it requires only your presence. You don’t have to bring extra bands, tubes, weights, or have access to machines – you can do it in the luxury and privacy of your own hotel room. This circuit will target your entire body and leave you feeling energized and ready to conquer your next task!
I have also included an advanced option because it is so important to keep challenging your muscles. Try both routines and let me know which one you like best. I look forward to your feed back.
EXERCISE REPS ADVANCED
Forward lunges 15 each leg Add a horizontal leg kick to the front before returning to start
Push-ups on floor 10-30 Add a plyometric pop off your hands
Abs – Hip lift (toes to ceiling) 30 Lower your feet to 45 degrees then lift the hips, without momentum
Dips on Chair 20 Balance one foot on top of the other, and keep the hands close
Reverse lunges 15 each leg Add a rear “attitude” leg lift before returning to start position
Push-ups hands on Chair 20 Have hands very close together and elbows in towards the ribs
Crunches feet on chair 50 Change the tempo by alternating 10 fast, 10 slow and hold, etc
Work the body, burn those calories and feel energized as your reward after. You don’t even need to put on your workout shoes, just try it barefoot. Please leave me a comment and let me know how your travel or home workout fits into your exercise routine.
